Online Consultations
Online consultations offer a convenient way to access Chinese medicine support when an in-person appointment is not possible or practical.
A remote consultation follows much of the same process as an in-person appointment. We discuss your current symptoms, medical history, medications, lifestyle and overall health in detail, alongside any relevant blood tests, medical reports or investigations.
Where Chinese medicine diagnosis is concerned, I may ask you to provide a clear photograph of your tongue before the consultation. Although pulse and channel examination are not possible remotely, careful questioning and observation can still provide valuable information and allow us to develop an appropriate treatment strategy.
Online consultations are particularly suitable for Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional and lifestyle guidance, Qigong and follow-up care.
There are circumstances in which an in-person examination or conventional medical assessment is preferable. If I feel that remote consultation is not appropriate for your situation, I will always let you know and recommend the most suitable next step.
Before your appointment, you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and, where relevant, send a recent tongue photograph and any useful medical information or test results.
Consultations take place online in a private, confidential setting, giving us time to discuss your health thoroughly and agree on the next steps.
Follow-up consultations allow us to monitor your progress and adjust the treatment as your presentation changes.
